Olalekan (Lekan) Afolabi is the Founder and CEO of Global Intelligence and Policy Consultancy LLC (GIPC), specializing in intelligence, risk management, and policy advisory for governments, corporations, and NGOs. With 20+ years of experience in geopolitical analysis, intelligence collection, and strategic policy development, he provides expert guidance to clients navigating global complexities.
Lekan previously served as a Foreign Service Officer (2016-2024) at the U.S. Department of State, advising on bilateral relations, security policy, and economic strategy while leading diplomatic negotiations and intelligence operations. He has also worked as a consultant for private intelligence and risk advisory firms, delivering geopolitical intelligence, risk assessments, and strategic policy solutions to clients across sectors.
Beyond government and consultancy, Lekan has executive-level experience in retail management, having held leadership roles at major multinational retail corporations, where he managed business operations, logistics, and strategic growth initiatives. Additionally, he spent over a decade teaching International Relations and Political Science at CUNY (2013-2025).
He holds an MA in International Criminal Justice (John Jay College) and an MA in International Affairs (City College of New York), alongside certifications in intelligence and cyber analysis.
